6 St. Patrick's Day Math Activities

The activities are available in print AND digital. The printable activities come with colorful graphics and a student recording sheet. The digital activities are colorful, engaging, and student friendly! The St. Patrick’s Day printable math activities are easy to prep and store. The digital activities are available using Google Slides. These can be assigned to students and completed in the classroom at a technology center or at home during distance learning.
St. Patrick’s Day Counting Money
Are your students learning how to count a collection of coins? This St. Patrick’s Day math activity is perfect for counting a collection of dimes, nickels, and pennies. Students match the gold coin to the correct coin pot. On the digital activity, students will drag and drop the gold coins to the correct pots. With the printable activity, students will look at each pot, count the collection of coins, and make a match! Then they will write their answer on the printable recording sheet. St. Patrick’s Day Rainbow Addition
This St. Patrick’s Day activity is perfect for adding three addends! Students can use the colorful cubes or counters and the ten frames to help them add three numbers together. On the digital activity, students will look at the addition sentence inside the rainbow. Students will use the colorful cubes and tens frames to help them add. Finally they will type the correct answer in the gold pot. With the printable St. Patrick’s Day math activity, students will look at each rainbow, add the three numbers together using the ten frames, and write the answer in the gold pot! You can laminate this activity and use a dry erase marker. This way you can use the activity over and over. Then they will write their answer on the printable recording sheet. St. Patrick’s Day 10 More or 10 Less
Do your students need practice with adding 10 or subtracting 10? I feel like this is something we tend to need a bit more practice on. This St. Patrick’s Day math activity is perfect for helping students mentally find 10 more or 10 less. On the digital activity, students will look at the addition sentence on the clover. Students will add or subtract 10 and drag the number card that matches to the correct clover. With the printable St. Patrick’s Day math activity, students will look at each clover, add or subtract 10, and make a match! Then they will write their answer on the printable recording sheet. St. Patrick’s Day Rainbow Place Value
This is a great activity for practicing place value! With this St. Patrick’s Day math activity students will build the number on the rainbow using tens and ones base ten blocks. With the digital activity, students will look at the number on the rainbow. Students will drag and drop the tens and ones to build the number. With the printable St. Patrick’s Day math activity, students will look at the number on each rainbow. They will use the base ten blocks to build the number. St. Patrick’s Day Spring Addition Kites
Are you students working on addition within 20? These spring kites are perfect for helping students practice this skill. With the digital activity, students will look at the addition sentence on each cloud. Students will drag and drop the kite with the correct answer. Spring Flower Subtraction
Students will enjoy practicing their subtraction facts with this colorful spring flower subtraction activity! This is quite a St. Patrick’s Day math activity, but definitely one that I like use in March. With the digital activity, students will look at each subtraction sentence in the white boxes. Students will drag and drop the subtraction sentence to the flower with the correct flower.
