Fun spring math activities and centers!

Are you looking for some fun and engaging spring math activities for your little learners? Spring has sprung and I am excited to share 6 spring math activities with you! Spring is such an exciting time and your students will love learning about addition, place value, measurement, telling time, and MORE!

The activities are available in print AND digital. The printable activities come with colorful graphics and a student recording sheet. The digital activities are colorful, engaging, and student friendly! The Spring Math printable math activities are easy to prep and store. The digital activities are available using Google Slides. These can be assigned to students and completed in the classroom at a technology center or at home during distance learning.

Hippity Hop Addition

Do your students have an understanding for place value and are working on adding using place value? This spring math activity is perfect for reviewing and practicing addition with place value blocks. Students will use place value block to add two two-digit numbers together. On the digital activity, students will see the first number represented on the first egg with tens and ones and they will drag tens to the second egg to show the second addend. Students will count up the base ten blocks and type their answer in the box. With the printable activity, students will use the addition board to place their addition equation and base ten blocks. You could use the printed tens and ones or real place value blocks.

Carrot Top Addition

This is one of my favorite spring math activities! The carrot homes are too cute! This spring math activity is perfect for reviewing and practicing addition with three addends. Students will add the three numbers together and find the bunny with the correct answer. On the digital activity, students will look at each carrot house and add the three numbers together. Then they will drag the bunny to the correct carrot house. With the printable activity, students will do the same, but they can also record their answer on the student page.

Spring Measurement

Are you looking for a fun spring math activity that focuses on measurement? There are so many fun, hands on ways to practice measurement. I love having students estimate and then measure to find the actual amount when they are measuring. With this spring math activity, students will estimate how many cubes long and then find the actual measurement by using cubes to measure. On the digital activity, students will type in their estimation and then use the colorful cubes on the side to measure one end to the other end. Finally students will type in the actual number of cubes needed to measure. With the printable activity, students will do the same, but with real cubes! They can also write their answer on the recording sheet.

Comparing Umbrellas

It’s raining, it’s pouring! This spring math activity is a fun way to practice comparing two numbers. Students will compare the two numbers on the umbrellas by finding the correct cloud symbol. On the digital activity, students will look at the two numbers on the umbrellas and drag the correct symbol to compare the two numbers. With the printable activity, students will look at the two numbers on each task card. They will will the correct symbol to compare the two numbers. Finally they will write their answer on the recording sheet.

Shape Egg Hunt

Shape Egg Hunt is a fun spring math activity to practice shape identification! I love to incorporate plastic eggs into our centers and activities in spring and these colorful eggs are the perfect alternative. With this spring math activity, students will practice identifying 2D and 3D shapes. On the digital activity, students will look at each shape and drag the correct name to the shape. With the printable activity, students will look at each shape and find the correct shape name. Finally they will write their answer on the recording sheet.

Spring Time

It’s time for spring! This spring math activity is perfect for practicing telling time to the hour and half hour. On the digital activity, students will look at each flower analog clock and drag the correct digital time to the flower. With the printable activity, students do the same, but, they will also write their answer on the recording sheet.
